The world's largest 3200 megapixel camera

One big new, “The world's largest 3200 megapixel camera is in the final stages of production, the five-foot lens camera weighs 2800 kg”.

According to the experts, the world's largest camera lens is in the final stages of completion, with the help of which it will be possible to capture wide and clear pictures of the universe. This lens has been developed in a laboratory located in Menlo Park, California, which has the ability to capture 3200 megapixel images. This lens is so powerful that it can photograph a golf ball from 15 miles away. The camera is about the size of a small SUV while the lens alone is five feet in diameter. When completed, the camera will be able to capture the most extensive images of the sky in the southern region above the Rubin observatory, allowing more stars and galaxies to be observed. According to the British media report, this 3200 megapixel (3.2 billion pixel) camera has 189 sensors, 2 feet wide.

In a way, the focal plane is similar to the imaging sensor of a digital consumer camera or the camera in a cell phone: It captures light emitted from or reflected by an object and converts it into electrical signals that are used to produce a digital image. But the LSST Camera focal plane is much more sophisticated. In fact, it contains 189 individual sensors, or charge-coupled devices (CCDs), that each bring 16 megapixels to the table – about the same number as the imaging sensors of most modern digital cameras.
